that's amore tuesday

for that's amore monday i wanted to share a quick snipet of the weekend that impacts me deeply.  at our church this easter sunday the pastor stated "for those who are in Christ every day is easter."  isn't that an amazing truth?  every day we get to celebrate a Savior that is resurrected & alive.  EVERY DAY.  what sweet sweet words.

"this is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. and we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers."
1 John 3:16

the rest of the weekend was {likewise} a blast.

friday:
we had nothing to do so...DATE NIGHT.  we ate yummy food, enjoyed wonderful conversation and then saw 'clash of the titans.'  guess who chose the movie.  {hint:  the same person also begged to see 'dragon wars'} no...NOT ME!  you all are bad guessers.  anyway...movie review: ben liked it & i'm not sure how much i'd have to be paid to see it again.

saturday:
a.k.a day of productivity.  we cleaned up the majority of the house {what a relief}, my sweet husband mowed our lawn {just our back yard because our neighborly neighbor had already mowed the front yard as well as the rest of the court's yards}, i painted the top of my sewing desk {to be skirted in the near future}, we did laundry and i got to read!  later that evening my two of our favorite couples came over...eric & rachel & ryan & carly.  we had a mini cookout {a first on our new grill}!  it was delicious and hopefully just a tiny preview of all that is to come from our deck. and watched the stupid final four games.  {i hate duke}

sunday:
we woke up later than normal, made cinnamon rolls & went to church with my whole fam.  extended fam.  we took up three rows.  it was a great celebration.  my parents had everyone over after church for lunch, an easter celebration & a 4-way birthday party {don't ask...i told you three rows}.  we ate lots of food & candy & spent a wonderful day together playing with babies, visiting & sitting in the gorgeous sunshine.  here's some shots of the day...{i should have taken more but i was being a poor photographer.}

what a great weekend to praise a risen Savior!
