PRAYERS PLEASE

ben's aunt mary jane went into surgery this morning at 3 am to receive much needed lung transplants.  we are beyond thrilled that these lungs became available; with her pulmonary fibrosiss it was absolutely necessary that a transplant take place & she has been waiting for quite a while as her condition worsened.  while the lungs are a blessing, the surgery is still frightening and the outcome uncertain, so we are praying, with full confidence in God's plan, that He will guide the doctors, renew her body & make her well again.  she is a wonderful & faith-filled woman with a sweet husband and four young, beautiful kids.  we pray for healing & for peace for the entire family {she has very many people who care deeply for her}.

mary janes knows & loves the Lord, because of that we will rejoice no matter the circumstance.

"do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:6

update:
#1
left lung is in & she is stable.  right lung is going in now {11:15 am}, the procedure is expected to be done by noon there {1:00 here in ky}.  thank you for your dear prayers.
#2
both lungs are in and working!!  she is stable but will be on a ventilator for at least the next few days
#3
mary jane has sat up once and has squeezed family members hands when they are talking with her.  she is still in the hospital and may still be a bit sedated so she will be relaxed.

i mean this wholeheartedly, thank you dearly for your prayers.  what has happened so far has really been a miracle, thank you for sharing with us and ben's family in that.
