there is a bit of insanity in dancing that does everybody a great deal of good.

i love to dance.

.i love to dance with my friends.
.i love to watch my friends dance.
.i love to dance with my poppa(s).
.i even like to dance by myself.
.but i extra-specially love to dance with my hubby.
and last night that is exactly what i got to do!  i got to go to dance lessons with my handsome stud of a husband.  there is a studio here in lexington that runs a promotion {near valentine's day} every year for an inexpensive 3 lesson package.  i hinted {not subtly} that they sounded like so much fun.  my dear, sweet husband was being an excellent listener and got me the package for love day.  dance lessons are not necessarily something he enjoys so it was all the more sweet for him to do that for me.

the first lesson was really basic {which is what we needed}.  they even said that it wasn't really to teach you how to dance but more so that you could see that you can dance & see if you like it.  they were trying to lure us into buying more lessons that cost more dollars.  but we're wise to their game so, i just had fun learning a few steps and dancing with my husband, no strings attached.  i had a great time and we have two more lessons left!

woot woot & thank you benny for a wonderful evening.

some dancing notions for my bloggin' friends:

"never trust spiritual leader who cannot dance." -mr. miyagi, the next karate kid, 1994

"we're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance." -japanese proverb

"it is of course possible to dance a prayer." -glade byron addams

"the LORD appeared to us in the past, saying:  "i have loved you with an everlasting love; i have drawn you with loving-kindness. i will build you up again and you will be rebuilt, o virgin israel. again you will take up your tambourines and go out to dance with the joyful."  -jeremiah 31:3-4

"just dance, gonna be ok, da da doo-doo-mmm" - lady gaga

"there is a bit of insanity in dancing that does everybody a great deal of good. " -edwin denby
